Initiate Positive Pressure Ventilation
The goals of PPV are: clear lung fluid, establish functional residual capacity, deliver adequate tidal volume, facilitate gas exchange, stimulate breathing, and minimize lung injury.
Intubation Preparation
Potential indications for intubation include: no increase in heart rate, completion of the 6 corrective steps of MR.SOPA, and apnea.

Establish Vascular Access
Gain vascular access in order to administer medications, fluids, or blood.
Administer O-Negative Packed Red Blood Cells
O-Negative packed red blood cells can be given via an umbilical line, intravenous or instraosseous access, or via the endotracheal tube.
Admit to NICU
Stabilization/Resuscitation has been completed, admit the baby to the NICU for ongoing care.
